Varna Region
The district of Varna covers the area from Byals in the south up to Golden Sands in the north. The region is most known for the Golden Sands resort with its many apartments and hotel complexes. None the less the area has many other destinations that are less known, but also less crowded with a more authentic local atmosphere than Golden Sands. Besides the city of Varna is also worth visiting.
St Konstantin & Helena
This is one of the most popular vacation resorts at the Bulgarian Black Sea resort for Bulgarians. The resort a beach which is more than 3.5 kilometers long and the resort is covered with multi deciduous forest that reaches almost to the coast.
The resort has natural alleys of trees and small parks filled with flowers and in the area is also found the chapel “St. Konstantin and Elena”, which is a part of a former monastery.
The resort offers tourists a variety of attractions and entertainment such as beach activities, water sports, tennis courts, playgrounds, a marina, hot mineral springs and swimming pools where two of them are with hot mineral water. There are also many restaurants, bars, shops in the area. A strength of St. Konstantin & Helena is that it only is located 6 km of the city center of Varna.

Varna is known as the Sea capital of Bulgaria and is known for its beautiful parks, its sea promenade with a variety of restaurant and bars, good shopping options, and many historic sites
The city of Varna has undergone a major reconstruction in the central area with new roads and sidewalks, renovation of the sea garden and beach falsities and many of the houses and apartments near the seaside has undergone reconstruction.
A new project in Varna is Varna South Bay which is a newly developed resort area in the outskirt of Varna with a number of luxury apartment complexes right on the beach.
This makes the City of Varna a unique destination for a beach vacation at the beach combined with the closure of the city
Kabakum beach
Kabakum beach is a small resort town 12 km north of Varna and 2 km south of Golden Sands. Compared to golden Sands Kabakum Beach is far less “touristic” than Golden Sands and the accommodation option is primarily based on apartment complexes and Villas.
The area is one of the main destinations for construction of new apartment complexes in the Varna region
Apart from the beach the area has a number of local restaurants, cafes and bars
Byala
Byala is located 50 km south of Varna, and is a Village which over the past years has developed very fast and at the moment it is a desired vacation spot for many tourists in the summer. Even though Vacation complexes has popped up in the area over the past years the center of Byala still intact with the impression of Bulgarian village life.
The land scape is characterized by combination of a rocky shore with small bays with sandy beaches. The beaches has many restaurants, water-slides and other attractions. There is also a yacht port is situated on the Southern beach.
Most of the locations offered for tourist accommodation in the area offer panoramic views which make it the perfect spot for a vacations.
The attractions in the area are the city of Ozbor 5 km away, wine trips to some of the many wineries in the area or a visit to Irakli beach which is one of the last remaining wild beaches in Bulgaria.
Golden sands
Golden sands is the primary destination for charter tourists from all over Europe and it offers a wide range of entertainment facilities for the tourists such an a aqua park, a huge numbers of discotheques, clubs, bars and restaurants. None the less for those who prefer a more quiet vacation, there are also several more quiet spots in the area located in green surroundings close to the sea.
