Burgas region

The Burgas area is characterized by its beaches, a high number of sunny days and the low rainfall that allow outdoor recreation  from June to September. The Black Sea is not polluted in contrast to other sea basins in Europe, its waters are not so salty and there are no dangerous animal species and plants.

In the area there are thermal mineral springs with different temperature and chemical composition, which are important for balneological and sea tourism.

The vegetation as landscape create the perfect setting for a vacation where the beach is supplemented to trips to the mountains or forests. The forests in the Strandja and Sakar Mountains create favorable conditions for hunting tourism

Burgas City

Bulgaria’s fourth largest city is in in Bulgaria and as with Varna there has been done reconstruction of the sea garden and the pedestrian street in the city center. There is also a well maintained central beach. Despite the improvements

Burgas is still less glamorous than Varna or the many beach resorts with its surroundings, and historical towns. Still guests can have a walk at the pedestrian streets or along the sea garden and enjoy the central beach.

There are also good opportunities for trips to the surrounding with beautiful mountain scenery.

Sunny Beach

The most famous of all Bulgaria’s beaches, Sunny Beach is located 20 km south of Burgas and is the country’s biggest resort with 8 km of beach front with stretch of fine golden sand – The resort is filled with entertainment facilities such as restaurants, watersports hire outlets and nightclubs. The resort is the main destination in Bulgaria for charter tour operators from all over Europe is known as a destination for tourists who like partying.

Nessebar

Nessebar is located a few kilometers south of sunny Beach on a rocky peninsula. Nessebar is a small historic town with a Two 5 kilometer long white sandy beaches located in a bays between the rocks.

The Town is known for its stone and wooden buildings which creates a cozy atmosphere and makes it an interesting place for those who wish to combine the sunbathing and sight-seeing without having to travel a lot.

The new town of Nessebar also has plenty of restaurants, bars and shops.

Sozopol

Sozopol is located 12 km south of Burgas, and has a number of well-maintained sandy beaches, many nice restaurants and bars, clubs and even a water park.

The town of Sozopol was founded in the 6th century and enjoys a stunning location. It is located on a narrow peninsula, and it is characterized by its charming old town with meandering cobbled streets and pretty wooden houses which creates a special atmosphere.

Sozopol has long been a popular seaside resort by Eastern Europeans on holiday from countries such as Serbia, Slovakia, Czech Republic and also Bulgarians themselves. Although not quite as crowded as the seaside resorts frequented by charter tourists.
